i just sent you an email to update you on my mom. but i thought i'd write on here because, well, we don't do enough of that. i had lunch with anna sanchez this weekend and decided i'm tired of playing the catch up game every time i see someone. so, lets us this so we don't have to. then we will know what is up.

i'm still raising support. i'm at about 40%, which is very discouraging, but i'm still pressing on. i'm working at this little childcare center and doing a lot of babysitting, which is easy money and usually pretty fun. i'm living in lafayette with two fun girls who are NOTHING like bustakappa, which is a bit depressing :) i just love you girls and hope i get to see you soon!

speaking of which, i'm planning a birthday party for myself. it will either be next weekend or the weekend after....most likely the weekend after because i haven't planned it very well yet :) but, i want you all to come and we can hang out!

good ole bk memories

hey girlies.

so, sunday i had a nice walk down memory lane. i came home from church and noticed that the shower in the bathroom was dripping. sometimes it does that, and it helps to turn it on and then off again, then it usually goes away. this time, however, i turned it on, and it would not turn off. not at all! it reminded me of that time the shower downstairs in bk wouldn't turn off! i was so pissed off, i went and got the neighbor but he couldn't get it to turn off, and i finally had to call my dad to come help (which pissed him off, which made me even more pissed). while i'm waiting for him to come up i'm running with buckets of water from upstairs and dumping it on the plants...i didn't want to waste the water and i don't know where the turn off is! i'm sure it was quite a site. it's funny how in bk it was always at least funny. when you live alone it isn't nearly as funny when this crap happens.

anyway, love you girls and loved seeing you. let's hang out again soon!!! oh-carrie-have you guys set a date yet???

just thought i'd say hello. i know i have been SUCKY at keeping in touch with you all and i want to change that. i am back in the states now, living in boulder with my brother and emily. next year i will most likely be in boulder working in the regional offices for crusade, but it's up in the air at this point. life is crazy right now and i feel a little frazzled but i want to stay in touch with you all! so, you should post and let us all know how you are doing! i love you girls and think about you a lot.

i am just sitting here in little durango mexico with alicia and i had some news i thought i would share with you all...i am coming home early! i come home march 29thish! i will work in the regional offices of crusade in boulder and live with justin and emily for the next few months, then i will transition to a campus in colorado for the fall. i'm totally excited and when i get back we need to have a reunion!!!!!! i can't wait to see you all! i love you mucho

next freaking year

so, i just submitted my application for next year. i applied to do an internship with campus crusade on the denver metro team...so i would be on du, metro, regis, ucd, etc. i don't know when i will find out, but i'm so excited to think about being back in colorado and nearer to you guys (until some of you move way the heck over to other places and countries!)!!! i put cu and then unc as my second and third choices, but i really want to go to denver. also, my brother matt is going to let me live with him and his soon to be wife tamara! at least for the summer, then we'll see. anyway, i was just excited about this so i thought i'd give a shout out. i love you girls!

um, so yeah it's been a while since anyone has posted on here. and the reality of the situation is that no one will even see this for a while. i think that this was really cool at first, lame now, but will be cool again when we all graduate. it's a great way for us all to stay in touch, but until then it's just dumb. thought i'd give it a few thoughts. peace out girls

my night last night...

hey girlies!
well, i have a funny story for you all. so, last night, the night before christmas eve, i stayed home alone because everyone left for christmas. well, you guys know just how much i hate being home alone, especially at night. i had quite the adventure last night!!
first, our heater is having a really hard time. i turned it up to 90 degrees at about midnight and it still can't quite get above 55 degrees. so starting out it was a rough night! i slept in fleece sweatpants with another pair of sweatpants over those, a tee shirt with a fleece sweatshirt over that, two pairs of socks and gloves. then i added three extra blankets to the two i always have on my bed. then, as long as i kept my head under the blankets i was okay, but as soon as it came out i would wake up from the cold!!!
then, at about 4:00 am amy domokos' fire alarm started going off, so loud i could hear it in my room! well, her room is all locked up, so of course i'm sitting her freaking out, and shivering. i'm about to break down your door when i realize the back door to your room is unlocked (praise the lord!) so i go in and it turns out the battery is dieing. well, normally it just beeps, right? apparently yours runs constantly to let you know the battery is dieing. i just took it out, didn't replace it. no one will be here for the next few days anyway.
so that's my crazy night last night. i have to stop every couple of words to breath hot air on my hands so that i can type this. i can see my breath inside the house!!

Hey girlies

Hey girls, I hope you all are doing well. Amy D and Mariah, how are you girls? I haven't talked to you guys since you left? Anything new and exciting happening? =)...We had a "Holiday Dinner" at our house on Saturday night and Amy made an apple pie!! It was a lot of fun, we should plan more of those dinners next semester. Well, I head out tomorrow night for Minnesota, I talked to my sis today and she said it was 4 degrees yesterday and -10 last night, I think I might die!! Amy, I'm sure you'll be jealous=) Well thats all really... Love you girls!
